PICKLEBALL FOR HOSPICE WEEKEND – PICKLEBALL CLINIC WITH SID AND CAROLYN STEVENS FROM FLORENCE AZ AND ST. THOMAS ON.
Friday, May 4, 2018 from 10 am – noon
For 3.0+ Intermediate Players Clinic (you need to be a regular pickleball player to attend as these clinics are not for beginner players)
“The definition of insanity is do the same thing over and over yet expecting different results”
This training will focus on the start of each point and progress to touch shots. We will cover types of serves and the strategy around why you might want to “mix it up” and when to do so. We will then move onto return of serve – pace and placement – with the objective of the returning team getting to the kitchen first. Lastly we will work on developing the soft game. This is for players who are aware there is something missing in their game and want to improve their play by gaining the confidence to play the soft game.
The session will focus more on the strategy behind your shots and less on technique.
Sid and Carolyn bios
Sid also has been playing for 6 years and has achieved the ranking of 4.5 through the USAPA. He has been playing this year at the 5.0 level and while he and his partner have failed to medal they are becoming more competitive with each and every tournament. He has the ability to hit all shots with his strengths being quick reactions to hard shots and an excellent 3rd shot drop.
In addition to the above, both Carolyn and Sid have professionally been involved in adult training for over 10 years.
Bookings are closed for this event.
